No, of course you don't enjoy someone watching you when you're with your kids. But if you're currently (and, hopefully, temporarily) required to retain supervision, isn't it better to bring in someone who understands the value of parent-child interaction...without interference? We offer a comprehensive, neutral and professional experience for you and your child. With each visitation, we capture parent-child interaction in precise and extraordinary detail and provide you and your legal representative detailed reports of those interactions. The record of your interaction, when favorable as it almost always is, will become very useful to you in court. We provide these to the other parent and that parent's representative as well. All notes are fact based, (we never venture into custody or visitation recommendations). This keeps our observations neutral. And unbiased observation can seriously assist both parents in the effort to bring about resolution. Our staff will accompany you and your children to a park, restaurant, or most anywhere (within the court order), including your home.
Supervised Exchanges are most helpful to assist families with the "switching" of the children - preventing contact between the parents when their children go between homes. This is a great tool to utilize, letting the "dust settle" while conflicts are worked through. Many times, it only takes a bit of time before parents can settle into the routine and structure of co-parenting.
Monitored Visitation is a hybrid program developed in 2009 by a team of Napa County legal and community based professionals. This was created as a "bridge-gap" between Supervised Visitation as parenting time increased unsupervised. Monitored Visitation is also, at times used in place of Supervised Visitation when the situation doesn't seem to rise to the level of "full-on" Supervised Visitation. Monitored Visitation provides a "snapshot" of the parenting time (visitation) to the courts as a way to assist with decisions regarding custody and visitation changes or implementation.
Mediation is an effective tool to assist parties in resolving a myriad of disputes. This includes custody and visitation, marital asset division, pet visitation, and more. We are experienced and trained through the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
Parent Coordination is beneficial when families are in high conflict disputes. This helps to diffuse conflict and keep it away from the children. Decisions as to how visitation can best be conducted are made by the PC, as well as decisions in regards to other issues causing the high conflict.
Family Facilitators work with your family in consultation with a Therapist, Parent Coordinator or other professional to help facilitate a cohesive co-parenting plan and encourage children to participate in and engage during visitations where necessary. While facilitators do monitor visits, this particular service is not supervised visitation, and is only provided upon specific orders by the court. Family Facilitation provides a team approach to solve the most difficult issues that bring about conflict and difficulties encountered with consistent parenting time.
We offer drug and alcohol (breathalyzer) testing either in conjunction with Monitored Visitation or separately.
We offer expert opinions and testimony regarding Supervised Visitation Provider qualifications, standards and best practice for service in the state of California. See our sister site: www.familyvisitexpert.com for more information.
